The arts, all of them, have an obligation to those of our kind, who have in the past, by means of the gentle persuasion of their art, opened our eyes and ears to new understandings and awakened us to believe in the good possibilities of the future. The arts have the power to guide us towards an ever better future, where tolerance, understanding, and kindness are common virtues for all cultures and peoples. Upon those of the Arts, separate from all others, lays the sacred duty to ever open our eyes and to increase our understanding and to better know the nature our humanity. |

We are each of us some part of those with whom we have spent time and whose personalities have some little bit seeped into our own personality.
